Gratitude (day 4): free speech and voting

I am grateful for the right to free speech (even if the political signs I posted got stolen). I am grateful that I have the right to vote. The church across the street from our home is a place you can cast your vote. When we got up early in the morning there was a line of people waiting to vote. It made me a little emotional thinking about the fact that we have the chance to vote, to have our voice counted. I was also grateful that people were taking that right seriously and actually voting. It was an emotional election with important issues on the table. But I'm grateful that we can have peaceful elections no matter what the issues are.
